Experiment of the week

This week, I’m rededicating myself to the 2,000 item minimalism challenge that I wrote about before where my wife and I attempt to remove 2,000 items from our home in a calendar year. According to a 2014 LA Times Article, the average American owns over 300,000 items (and that was a couple years ago)! I have taken on the task of reducing my overall number of non-consumable items. For the year to date, we are a little behind, so this week, I’m trying to get rid of at least 300 items from my house. If you want to take on the challenge with me, a good place to start is with books and media, clothing and the garage.
